Presentations Titled “Michael Walzer’s Pluralistic Theory of Justice” and “Crisis Semantics and Spherical Metaphorics” Were Held

The event organized by the Department of Culture and Communication Sciences
was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 14:00 at the Conference Hall of the
School of Foreign Languages.
The event featured Prof. Dr. Manuel Andreas Knoll and Prof. Dr. jur. Dr. h.c. Werner
Gephart as speakers. Two separate presentations were held within the program.
Prof. Dr. Knoll presented “Michael Walzer’s Pluralistic Theory of Justice: An
Introduction to Walzer’s Spheres of Justice.”
Prof. Dr. Gephart delivered a presentation titled “Crisis Semantics and Spherical
Metaphorics: A Re-reading of Max Weber and Michael Walzer,” in which the
concepts of crisis and spheres were re-evaluated through the works of Weber and
Walzer.
The session was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Robin Andre Kurilla. The event
provided an academic platform for discussions on justice, crisis, and social
structures within the frameworks of political philosophy and sociology.
The program concluded with interdisciplinary reflections contributed by the
participants.
